It's almond almost time for a new year and normally this would mean lots of resolutions that are full to the brim with bullshite and mean even less! However, I have an exciting nuuu proposal that will save you all the hassle and haranguement and whatnot of waiting for that 11:59pm by....simply ignoring it!! Now sit back, cup your chins and stroke them ferociously (note: it would be wise to grow a beard before doing this, otherwise you run the risk of chinburn which is waaay nastier than sunburn or armpitburn or that nasty show Burn Notice) whilst muttering "Why didn't I think of that??!?!"
You see, my theory is that everything is relative. And since everything is relative, everything is different for everyone. And finally because this is so (and because I say it is so), everything must be subjective, and liable to change depending on your outlook and frame of mind. Although I may have ripped it orrf Einstein, I am re-appropriating it into our context of "nu yr's ev" - if you are ignoring this particular moment in time (and let's face it, time is just one of those things I know I'd rather not think about), then you are ignoring all of the conventions and obligations and celebrations etc. that come associated with it, and THUS TO YOU....IT IS NOT REAL!
If you just read all of that and thought "This is, like, totes irrelevant/boring/stupid/wackjobesque" you may be correct, but please remember that yes, I am in the exact state of mind as when I tried to proving that belonging is imaginary with mathematical induction. In other words, completely off my face - a major feat seeing as I have not actually required any sort of illicit dodgy mushroom to do it.
I feel that I have strayed far from my point long enough, so let us return to the real point of this - some music that I feel compelled I repeat COMPELLED to post on here on the grounds of my liking it veryy much.
