Just a little heads up...

The next 'Big Fashion Sale' is on from July 22nd - 25th at Surry Hills. There you'll find both well-known & upcoming Australian designer pieces for as little as $30 (if prices were the same as last time). Last time I went they sold lots of items including shoes, dresses, jewelry, scarves, hats and other garments. Of special note were their modern statement jewelry pieces that were being sold at a lot under RRP.

Location wise it's a very walkable distance from Central Station (Sydney). If you're willing, once you're at the sale you can even check out Crown St nearby, which has some absolutely divine clothes, cute stationary shops & plenty of places to eat/drink. If you're going to the opposite direction (near Cleveland St) why not check out Bourke St bakery or Paris Texas (a clothing boutique)?

Bourke St bakery is absolutely amazing. It's such a cute corner place. Oh how I love Surry Hills.

Zu/Williams/Betts Shoe

I know they're a funny pink, but apparently they come in black from Williams for only $90 [source].

Isn't it funny that Zu, Williams & Betts are all stocking a similar looking shoe?

Pre-stocktake Sale Heads-up

I went to Macquarie Center today for some last-minute Christmas shopping & along the way found just a few cheap buys that I thought you'd might like to know, in case you wanted to get one right at the start of the stocktake sale season.

Like this Melissa Odabash Havana swimsuit?

Well it's £111 at net-a-porter.com & currently featured in Vogue. You can get one similar (but in black) at Glassons for only $15. It's pretty good quality, & if you're prepared for a similar version in a nicer black & white print (which from what I've seen at the fabric print studio is definitely a big trend for SS09/10), you can buy it for ~$36.

Check out these Burberry heels...
If you really want to splurge £289.36 on them, you can, but if you're feet are small enough & can fit into a size 37 or a 39, you can buy a similar pair of heels from Rubi shoes (opposite Cotton On in Macquarie Center) for only $5 - of course they aren't exactly the same, but it's definitely a good buy. And while I'm at it, just a headsup that the whole rock-chic look is coming back, so prepare the studs, liquid eyeliner, black leather jackets & skinny pants.

+ I hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

PS Anyone up for stocktake/post-Christmas shopping? I'm thinking of going to Paddington some Saturday & possibly go city shopping for the umpteenth time, so if you're interested, just email me
